Fuel injection in cars started in 1955 when Bosch developed the fuel injection system in Germany. It was not a reliable system in the beginning. It only suited around thirty cars. However, since the fuel injection in cars
has been continuously developed and improved through the years, it is now acknowledged by a lot of people to be the better system than carburetor. Although there are still some ongoing debates about such matter, many have already subscribed to the belief that it stands on a higher footing than that of a carburetor since fuel injection system has lower emissions and better efficacy.

To understand what fuel injection is, you first need to know what a carburetor is.  The carburetor is a car apparatus that mixes the right amount of gasoline with air in order to allow pressure in the engine to enable it to run properly. Fuel injection is basically the same as how the carburetor works. The difference lies in the amount of gasoline or fuel and air that enters the engine cylinders of the car. The carburetor does not have the ability to calculate the amount of
gasoline and air needed for a perfect release on a specific engine load condition. The carburetor merely ‘estimates’ the amount of gasoline and air to be applied. If the mix of gasoline and air is not proper or is not with the right amount of each, the car’s engine may suffer damages. Thus, the efficacy of fuel injection in cars stands on the idea that it is able to calculate the right amount of gasoline and air. This efficacy results in higher power output, lower emissions and better fuel  efficiency. Fuel injection also lessens vibrations and helps surmount steep grades that are usually grounds for off-roading. Because of these, many car owners are changing to and buying fuel injection system cars even though fuel injection is more expensive and a little more complicated to use than a carburetor.

Maintaining a car means maintaining its parts as well. That is why it is important to note how to maintain and repair a fuel injector. When a car is beginning to get lower gas mileage or its engine starts to waver when the gas pedal is pressed, it is an indication that the fuel injector. To save time and energy, a person can simply go to a mechanic and have the fuel injector cleaned. But to save  money, he can also clean the fuel injector himself. Contact the knowledgeable and friendly staff at Meyers Auto Parts. A fuel injector cleaner kit is available at Meyers Auto Parts. In the instance that the car fuel injector is broken, a person must first check if it can still be repaired or if it must already be replace. It takes knowledge of the car engine and fuel injection to be able to properly fix what’s wrong with the fuel injector. It is still best to consult a mechanic in order to avoid damage on the fuel injector or the car.

Fuel injection in cars can be a difficult if not properly understood. Fuel injection in cars comes with the
responsibility of knowing how such system works and what is best for one’s car and car engine. It is important to note that although many people believe that fuel injection in cars is the best for a car engine, this may still vary depending on the car and the car engine.

This is new to me, I have a question, does this fuel injection will have an effect when it comes to the result of a smog test?
