Back in the day, before injection systems for gasoline-powered vehicles were efficient and precise, there was the single-point injection. The single-point injection did its work by mixing air and fuel before the intake valve and then distributing the mixture to the cylinders of the engine in one way. Although this sounds good enough, a problem arising from this type of injection system is that the cylinders did not have an equal mix of fuel and air. The nearest cylinder to the intake valve gets a richer mix (which means it has more fuel) than the ones farthest from the opening of the intake valve.
Going on trips is one of the most exciting experiences everyone should do once in a while – be it a trip alone, with friends, or with family. And speaking of trips, road trips are probably the most enjoyable. Riding in your own private car, and being surrounded by your loved ones makes the moment even more memorable. You can’t just go grab your backpack, pick-up your friends and decide where to go spontaneously. You have to check a lot of things, especially with regards to your car – should you rent one or drive your own – or else, the much anticipated trip will end up in a huge mess.
Las Vegas has one of the most excruciating summer weather. The heat almost makes driving unbearable. Tested by Consumer Reports, Tesla is “a technological tour de force, a high-performance electric vehicle with usable real-world range, wrapped in a luxury package.”
Cars have been around for more than a hundred years now. Within this very long span of time, numerous brands and models have emerged from different countries around the world. While not all of them have become successful, each and every one has had their fair share of contributions to the automobile industry. When children reach driving age, the aching concern of parents grows from the day they get their license. Your concern for safety and cost can be overwhelming, especially if your teen wants a brand new car.

Car maintenance takes more than filling up your tank or changing the engine oil. Your car is much like your body. The more you take care of it, the longer it will last. If you want to keep your vehicle running smoothly for years to come, you must keep up with these top eight car-maintenance checklist:
1. Fuel Filters
The fuel filter is more or less on continuous duty whenever your ignition is on and the fuel pump is active, as it's preventing impurities from clogging injectors. But a replacement will be necessary over time. This item is located in either the hood or undercarriage to inside the fuel tank itself. It’s best to let a technician handle fuel filters since systems are often pressurized and fuel lines must be safely crimped. Fuel filters should be replaced every 2 years or 24,000 miles.
Choosing the tires that’s right for you involves multiple considerations. There’s going to come a point where you need to replace your tires, whether you bought a new or used car. The only way a vehicle will run smoothly is if it has the perfect tires. But if it has substandard tires, you surely won’t appreciate the sophisticated transmission, the powerful engine or even the luxurious style. So it is extremely important to know these factors when buying new set of tires:
When buying cars, it is normal for anyone to consider the price, financing scheme available, fuel efficiency, aesthetics, car maintenance and brand loyalty. Car buying tips have been available everywhere and it seems like they mostly focus on how you can get the best discount on the sales price and how to get more freebies.
As a woman, we often wonder if salesmen would treat us any differently than if it is a man who is considering buying a car. The reality now is, yes, there are still salesmen out there who would probably take advantage and assume that a woman does not know the first thing about buying cars.
Your windshield wipers are probably the last thing on your mind when driving. However, you might have not survived a stormy weather without your car’s windshield wipers – as it improves your visibility on a rainy and snowy day. This car safety equipment went through evolution through the years.
The idea was first conceptualized by Mary Anderson, who first filed for a patent for her idea to make windshield wipers. She tried to sell this patent to car manufacturers but no one bought it. While this lady inventor didn’t have enough luck on her side to profit from her masterpiece, other people made some significant progress in selling their version of the product, including brothers William and Fred Folberth. They invented the automatic windshield wipers, which work because of an engine pumping air to a motor that makes the device work.
