Each year there are new car safety systems designed and developed to avoid and minimize the increasing number of possible car crashes and automobile accidents.
This year 2015, the latest and newest car safety systems are released to add into the innovations and development of automobile safety.
Subaru Eyesight Safety System
Subaru just announced the debut of their most up-to-date and improved version of the EyeSight vehicle safety system, which is available in the 2015 lineup. EyeSight is a camera-based vehicle monitoring system that focuses on the enhancement of the safety performance of cars, which also reduces the burden on drivers.
The latest version features a stereo camera that has an approximately 40% broader, extensive detection ranges and high quality brake light detection. It can also completely function when the speed between the EyeSight equipped car and another vehicle has a 30 mph up to 19 mph discrepancy. EyeSight has also a feature that is capable of detecting pedestrians in the vehicle’s lane.
Hyundai Genesis Safety System
Back then, radar detection, backup cameras, and electronic gadgets were only reserved for high-end luxury vehicles. Today, every company offers at least one of the same high-end features across its lineup. That is what Hyundai has done to exhibit the most modern safety features on the 2015 Genesis Sedan. The Genesis is loaded with numerous features that include backup cameras, automatic emergency braking, lane assist, cross-vehicle detection, and many more. All these aim to aid the driver in distractions and scenarios as such.
Toyota Safety System
With the rising competitions in the car industry, Toyota Motor Corp. announced a collection of advanced safety systems that will start hitting markets in 2015. These car systems were mainly designed for the improvement of traffic and pedestrian safety. It helps divers avoid pedestrian and vehicular collisions. One system has a feature that helps drivers make it through curvy roads with smooth lines like that of a professional race driver. It automatically steer the car away from pedestrians.
Volvo XC90 Safety System
Volvo announcement that their next generation XC90 will launch a variety of innovative safety features that include two technologies: the Adaptive Cruise Control with Steer Assist, the forthcoming iteration of Volvo’s seven-passenger SUV, which will be seen with its first ever applications of Road Edge or Barrier Detection with Steering Assist and the Pedestrian/Animal Detection in darkness with Collision Mitigation.
These systems are designed to help the driver maintain safe distances and lane positioning in traffic. This is completed through the use of cameras, radar sensors that automatically adjust brakes, the throttle, and steering as required. These are also used to help prevent inadvertent road departures.
Honda Safety System
Honda has publicized the introduction of the world’s first predictive cruise control system. The system has the ability to distinguish and react to other vehicles automatically.
The Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control System, which will make its debut on the new Executive spec Honda CR-V model, used modern and innovative features. It used a camera and radar to recognize other vehicle’s position on the road that is most critical to be aware of, even calculating the possibility of vehicles in adjacent lanes.
The system is perfectly designed to respond to prospective cut-ins, eliminate harsh braking, and to maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
